Belgique | Atelier sur l’inclusion financière des personnes déplacées de force et des migrants dans les contextes fragiles
Red Mangrove and MPI assisted DG INTPA in the preparation, organisation and follow-up of a strategic workshop entitled:
“Financial inclusion and investment promotion for forcibly displaced persons, migrants, returnees and their host communities in fragile contexts”.
The event aimed to:
- Assess existing financial inclusion initiatives for these populations in fragile environments,
- Identify challenges, opportunities and courses of action to strengthen the EU’s engagement in this area.
The workshop took place on 21 January 2026 in Brussels, at the European Commission’s premises. It brought together around 100 participants, representing:
- EU institutions and services,
- EU Member States,
- European development agencies and development banks,
- financial institutions,
- NGOs, foundations and private sector actors active in this sector.
