Colombia | Feasibility study for the creation of a financing and support mechanism for entrepreneurs
In a context of high vulnerability to ecological transition (oil and coal still account for 50% of exports), the Colombian government is seeking support from the French Development Agency in implementing a just transition strategy for the workforce and entrepreneurship, particularly the feasibility and deployment of a ‘just transition fund’ based on the Prêt d’honneur initiative.
Red Mangrove was called upon to support the feasibility study as a methodology expert, alongside Initiative, which provided specific knowledge of the honor loan instrument. The team carried out:
- An in-depth diagnosis of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bogota and the La Guajira region, including a field mission, remote interviews and a documentary analysis
- An analysis of the feasibility of the honour loan solution in Colombia, and the definition of the associated implementation conditions
