Horn of Africa | Climate mobilité study

Against a backdrop of climate vulnerability, diverse patterns of internal and cross-border mobility, and high levels of conflict in the Horn of Africa, this preparatory study aims to support the formulation of a programme by the EU’s DG INTPA. The programme aims to address climate-induced mobility challenges in the Horn of Africa, with a particular focus on four countries: Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and South Sudan.
The study provides an overview of the situation in these four countries by reviewing the challenges associated with climate-induced mobility, policy frameworks and processes, as well as existing initiatives related to climate-induced mobility.
