Multi-Countries | Final evaluation of the Feministes in Action project
The Feminists in Action project is a major initiative funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) as part of the Feminist Organizations Support Fund (FSOF). Implemented between 2021 and 2024 in 30 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, it aims to strengthen feminist organizations in the Global South by offering them flexible financing, technical and institutional support, and networking opportunities.
The program is based on three funding channels: support for organizational strengthening, operational projects, and collective advocacy actions. Led by a consortium comprising CARE France, Equipop, Oxfam France, FFMed, XOESE, and IPBF, it aims to strengthen the capacities of feminist CSOs, promote their structural empowerment, and encourage regional alliances to advance women’s rights and gender equality.
Red Mangrove has been commissioned to conduct the final independent evaluation of the Feminists in Action Project in order to analyze its relevance, effectiveness, coherence, impact, the sustainability of the results achieved, and the added value of the intermediary fund mechanism implemented under the FSOF.
