CHAD | Support to implement a gender action plan into the TVET / Employment Portfolio
The mission aims to integrate the recommendations from our previous gender diagnosis into TVET and entrepreneurship projects in Chad, with the goal of promoting the inclusion of women. It focuses on economic empowerment through training, entrepreneurship, and access to tailored resources. These actions address persistent gender inequalities, particularly in rural areas.
Red Mangrove implemented a holistic approach, aiming to collect and cross-reference a set of relevant data to inform the mission’s strategic thinking:
- Deepening and supplementing the initial gender diagnosis to strengthen sectoral dialogue.
- Enhancing the gender mainstreaming component of the PEA program by preparing a concept note for potential CAD2 funding from the EU.
- Continuing work with the NGO Bet Al Nadjah (BAN), by refining and segmenting beneficiary profiles to better understand gender-specific barriers.
- Formulating recommendations for an inclusive service offering tailored to the different profiles of BAN entrepreneurs.
- Disseminating the results of the first phase by producing communication materials to facilitate institutional dialogue and discussions with donors
